U ols, the juries, ade sampai esok noon to complete your tasks as juries, memberi komeng2 vast (or the other way round... heheh) dan separuh lagi duty korang, juries2 yang adil lagik bijaksanas, (giving the evaluation marks itiew via email to me), mek expect not later dari Saturday noon nih, ok? Kapish? Good - then lets READ! Hehehehe...

1st day of puasa...


Yes u ols. Idea nih mek dapat tadik waktu bangun dari tidurans itiew. Mek tetiber had this thought nak buat ala² a walk down the memory lane gittiew (eh, bukan ke blog mek nih pun dah ala² memory lane dah? LOL!) So anyways... it's about 1st day of puasa/ berbuka mek dari tahun 2000 sampeilah ke present tensenya sekarang nih. Hiks! Lets!

Year: 2000

1st day of Ramadhan, I was in KL. Sempat lah bersahur dan berbuka in KL/ umah. Tapipun, berbuka kejaps jer sebab I remembered my pickup van for flight datang 10 minutes lepas berbuka. Sayu sangat waktu tu sebab kenyang pon idak - lapaq lagik ado la. Kenalah bawak bekal makan dalam crew shuttle bus dari Subang Airport to KLIA... sedey! Hiks! Tapi naik² je atas flight, melantak sungguh² nih mengalahkan penumpang... hikhikhik!

Year: 2001

2001 seingat² mek, mek bersahur in KL tapi by the time berbuka mek dah di negeri lain, kalau tak KBR (Kota Bharu), musti PEN (Penang) sebab mek ingat pasal MERIAH sangat bab makan waktu tu, cuma tak leh nak ingat was it Gurney Drive or was it Pasar Ramadhan Siti Khadijah... ahaks! Tapi yang pasti, ade sekali tu mek berbuka puasa di KBR, memang mencabar kesabaran mek. Ade ke patut ade sorang mak cik nih, refused to jual nasik dagang (or was it nasik ulam ntah? Either one la) kepada me and my leading stewardess who so happened to have her nails in red and me in my 3/4pants? Bole? Sentap sangat time tu - macam, tak der motif dan tema tau dia tanak jual kat kami. Yang she kept on beleter dalam slang KBR was "Tak leh juai - mung ade kuku merah. Haram, dosa. Mu pulok (tunjuk kat mek) pakai seluar macam perempuan..." something like that la kot. MOTIF!? Terus mek upset berbuka puasa dengan air jer - balik hotel dan ordered room service katanya ngan my leading yang terus removed her red nailpolish itiew. HIKS!

Year: 2002

1st day puasa mek, ermm... japs... owh yes. Bersahur dalam flight, berbuka di... di... was it Brisbane or Perth? Hmmm - apa² pun, totap di Australia! Waktu tu puasa somewhere end of the year kot... and mrasalah Australia tgh summer. NANGIS! Sah sah summer, siangnya panjang bebenor, kan? Seksanye! Hiks! Tapi tak per, tak terasa sangat sebab filled with activities nak buat ie shopping la sightseeing la and etc. And 2002 nih la the month mek banyak bersahur, berpuasa dan berbuka dalam flight or di negara² lain. Sukanye mek time itiew! Hiks!

Year: 2003

1st day puasa mek di KL, di rumah my auntie with Mak Tok around. Best sangat. Tapi mek tiba dirumah itiew like 1/2 late sebab mek baru balik flight. Iniii lah dia kan keje sebagai crew. Sedeh! Instead of askin' the send off transport to hantaq mek balik ke my apartment, mek suruh dia send mek ke umah my auntie (dedekat jugak ngan umah mek) - mrasalah berbuka dalam van itiew katanya, dan sampai jer di rumah auntie mek, NAH!!! THAT'S IT!

Year: 2004

Haaaa ini mek ingat clearly. Sahur DINCH. Puasa 1st day tu, mek ingat asik lah mek tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidur jer. Dan berbuka puasa dengan Volks, Ginger dan Mira di kediaman 301. Hiks, kan Volks? Siap pi pasar ramadhan depan umah Volks nih, beli segala bagai. Hehehe... Missed that!

Year: 2005

Sahur tadik at 2am... now dah 11.44am... alamatnya bersahur, berpuasa dan berbuka di rumah di Kedah (for the first time in 5 or 6 years nih!) hiks! Mek suka mek suke! Petang nih nak pi pasar ramadhan. Nak amik pixies.... mek suke mek suke!

Beautiful Recipes with Nurlea Laurielle - Thai Noodle Salad



Today's recipe: Thai Noodle Salad


This easy salad of crisp fresh vegetables and prawns, stirred into simple rice noodles, is accompanied by the sharp taste of chillies and lemon grass to make a cold dish full of hot flavours.

200g snow peas
1 yellow capsicum
200g rice noodles
8 spring onions
250g peeled cooked prawns

For the dressings:
2 stems lemon grass
2 red chillies
7.5cm piece fresh root ginger
A large handful of coriander leaves
2 limes
3 tablespoons sunflower oil
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
2 tagblespoons soy sauce

1. Put a kettle of water on to boil. Top and tail the snow peas. Put into a saucepan, cover with boiling water, bring back to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Seed the capsicum and slice thinly.

2. Take the snow peas off the heat. Add the capsicum and noodles; leave to stand for 2 minutes, transfer to a colander, rinse and drain.

3. To make the dressing, peel away the outer layers of the lemon grass and slice the stems into chunks. Seed and slice the chillies. Peel and slice the ginger. Chop the coriander. Put them all into a food processor or blender.

4. Squeeze the limes and add their juice with the sunflower and sesame oils and the soy sauce. Blend just long enough to make a think, chunky dressing. Alternatively, chop or grind the dressing ingredients with a pestle and mortar.

5. Trim the spring onions. Cut diagonally into 1-cm pieces and put into a serving bowl. Add the prawns and the noodle mixture, pour in the dressing and toss well

6. Serve the salad accompanied by a bowl of prawn crackers. Serves 4 pax.

Nutrients per serving: kiljoules 2737, protein 21g, carbohydrate 71g (sugar 7g), fat 31g (saturated fat 4g), good source of vitamins B group, C and E.



Yezza u ols! Today's recipe nih selalu mek makan waktu dalam flight MAS dulu, ala² my favorite starter salad. And yes, I know, it is somewhat like a simple recipe, tapi sesuai lah dengan tema pertama segment ini, di hari pertama Bulan Ramadhan. Today salads/ starters.; esok² we'll move on to soup/ main dishes and etc... :) Banyak lagi resipi mek nak sharekan pada semua yang interested. From starters to soups to main dishes, to drinks, cookies, pastries and stuff - a lot more to come! And so, as for now, selamat mencuba the Thai Noodle Salad! Dan selamat berbuka puasa later! Hiks!

How are things with you? Ohh btw congratulation on your six months blogging :) I got this from a friend in the web, have not been very productive lately, too much "storm" in my head... I would also like to wish "Salam Ramadhan Al-Mubarak" and hope this article will colour their fasting month.

Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel. All claimed that they were the best. The most important. The most useful. The most beautiful. The favorite.

Green said:

"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority."

Blue interrupted:

"You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing."

Yellow chuckled:

"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun."

Orange started next to blow her trumpet:

"I am the color of health and strength. I may be scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don't hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you."

Red could stand it no longer he shouted out:

"I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life's blood! I am the color of danger and of bravery. I am willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the blood. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon. I am the color of passion and of love, the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy."

Purple rose up to his full height:

He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am the color of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of authority and wisdom. People do not question me! They listen and obey."

Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with just as much determination:

"Think of me. I am the color of silence. You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace."

And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his or her own superiority. Their quarreling became louder and louder. Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening, thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly. The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.

In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:

"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest. Don't you know that you were each made for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colors united and joinedhands.

The rain continued:

"From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that you can all live in peace. The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow." And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, to let us remember to appreciate one another.

Trip to Danok, Thailand


Dearest all,

Nih citer semalam, pasal kes mek pi Danok dengan kengkawan mek itiew (past tense laaaaaaaagik katanya!) So, anyways, citer asalnya macam nih. A friend of mine, si Wan tu, called me up tetiber tgh hari semalam. Katanya nak lunch sesama. Kalau dah nak lunch sesama, mek tau la dia tu balik dari KL (memang dia dah informed me earlier pon yang dia nak balik yesterday for one day, ade urusan family katanya) So tak per lah, since memang mek nak keluar gi town pon, nak gi bank lah, bayar bill itiew ini lah, bayar kerets lah, bank in kan cheque la, kuarkan cash la - haiyoh! This list goes on lah kirenye, so mek pikir² balik, dari mek pi sengsorang, baik lah mek ajak si Wan nih join. And so he did. Kirenye mek picked him up, dan before pi lunch, mek decided nak clear all these work dulu tapi, ado? Nan ado. AS was like, maha jammed sangat semalam! Tu belum start Ramadhan/ or few days before Raya lagik tu - masyaAllah! Sedeh! Parking, punya lah susah nak carik! Hapset sangat! Dah la stucked dalam jammed tu, bohsan! Tapi, tetiber, mek ternampak sorang abang co-pilot satu lori ni u ols. Dari mata mek, candiew la juger. Tapi dari lensa Nokia 7200 mek, tetiber jadik BLUR! HOW!?!?! Upset! NANGIS!

Mek rase, TAJAM jer dia jeling pandang ke arah mek, KAN? Marah ke u ols??? Hiks!


Yang penting, time nak snappy² pic tu, LAWAK sangat sebab mek tannak kasik nampak obviouskan. Jadik kesahnya, mek kena purak² cakap phone lah. So tgh dalam posisi gaya bercakap phone tu, mek snappy² la. Snap pertama, salah angle - pi amik tayar lori tu pulak dah! Second shot, menjadik lah jugak walaupun senget sikit. Third shot katanya - lagi sedih! AMIK SIDE MIRROR LORI TU PULAK! Hanjeng sangat kan? Well I guess mek kena settle for only one pic jer lor! *Yang penting, mek pasti abang itiew mai dari Balakong; sebab address Lori tu dari Balakong? Hehehe boleh?

Lepas tu mek, Wan dan Z (we picked up another friend of ours, Z, kat office dia, on the way nak ke lunch la kirenya- so ajaklah join sekali) pi la makan kat this place called... ape tah. Makan punya makan, tetiber, nampak Ranggedey (Rang) dengan Abang Zafri and his friend, Wil. Terserempak secara tak sgaja la kirenya - mek pon dinch hui bila Abang Zafri balik mai AS. Katanya temankan Nil ade seminar kat Penang, lajak lah mai AS. Sembang pi sembang mai, makan pi makan mai, SEMPAT la jugak mek snappy² pic sorang mamat nih, kawannya si Wan nih. Mek suka! Hiks!


Yang dok makan sambil posing baik punye itiew, Ranggedey (selalunya kami pangei dia RANG jer; mek nak calling² dia Ranggedik, kan dak? Mati la mek kena pukul lagik!) - feeling Rangni Mukeji la? LOL! Yang sebelah kiri pic tu (berbaju putih itiew) mak Ayam Junior BESAQ kat JC itiew - Z! LOL! Dan yang sebelah kanan pic berbaju merah itiew - ehem ehem... Wan namanya (Aaccchhiiummmm5thE! Excuse me - tersneeze pulok!)


Budak yang hantaq air tu pun tasty! MEK SUKA! Dapat dilihat, Wan sedang berborak dengan kawan dia yang mek also curik² snappy picsnya itiew...


Aiyoyoh! Mek rase dia perasan sundelll mek snappy² pics dia. Tapi yang penting, lepas tu, (lepas dia habis sembang ngan Wan) dia lalu sebelah mek, dan senyum persis "Hi, can I have your number?" haaa cam tu la senyumnya - tapi mek dinch layan! (kekwat nih! Hehehee)


Haaa - abang yang cakap phone tu pun, kelihatan persis sangatlah jerz (gorgeous/ candiew) tapi masalahnya, jauh sangat, kan? Dinch nampak clear... tapi mek suka tgk body dia dah - merembes!


E eh? Pecah lobang katanya! Kakak yang kat sebelah kiri abang itiew, seperti tahu² ajo mek tgh paparazzikezikan pics ciktannya itiew... hiks! Terus mek off hp! (mati lah off hp terus? LOL!)


Lepas tu, secara TIBA² katanya,... "LETS KE DANOK?" Hanjeng tak! Planning ape tidaknya, tetiberjer Lets Danok lah? Hanjs sangat! Tapi mek nak pi jugak! LOL! So since Z ngan mek still kena pi office, kitaorang planning pukul 5pm lah semuanya bertolak, dua kerets ke BKH (Bukit Kayu Hitam) where we ols semurs will meet BS (BadarSila- si chatter tagboard mek also itiew) yang kerejnya di Immigresen BKH itiew. Dia lah nak tolong bawak mek ngan si Nil yang dinch ad border pass katanya. Si Z, Wan, Rang ngan Zafri masing² ade katanya! Binats sangat! SENTAP!

So oklah, kirenye, kitaorang sampai BKH the border itiew, at 6pm, jumpe BS, dan tuptup BS join skali katanya? Mek dinch hui pong. Mek ingatkan dia nak tolong bawak Nil ngan mek masuk jer. Alih² dia tolong bawak diri dia ALSO ke sana! Hehehehe...

Dari Imm. BKH, nak ke border gate Danok/ Thai itiew, ade lah, perjalanannya, lebih kurang *sambil garu dagu*... less than 5 minutes? HAHAHAHAH! (yang dari Danok nak ke Hatyai tu yang mengambil masa 1/2 jam itiew! LOL!) I wasn't looking forward sangat pun sebab it was raining, ala ala hanjeng kucing hujannya (cats and dogs) So macam, knowing mek, yang masih dalam proses nak baik demam lite² itiew, harus lah mek feeling² sentap sebab nak kena redah jalan dalam hujan also! Hiks...

Kami parking kerets dekat depan a local club katanya - penuh nih dengan pompuan² dok tunggu pelanggan. Kexi sangat tapi what to do, cara hidup depa. Mek pasrah. Tapi yang jadik bapak² hayems depa tu, candiew sundal!!! Mek macam nak jer cakap bile bapak² ayam tu kata "Mai mai, ada pelempuan. Bagus punya. Mai mai" mek nak jer cakap balik kat dia... "I tak mau pompuan... I mau u!" Hehehe... boleh? Yang penting, Wil dengan mek melawak. Sebab Bapak² Ayams tu dok pujuk rayu bagai kat kami nih... "2 jam sepuluh linggit saja... mai mai" - nak jer kami cakap kat bapak² ayam yang candiew tu... "Errr... apa kata... KAMI bayar DUA PULUH LINGGIT utk SATU jam sahaja, utk have ABANG instead of the pelempuan² hodoh dan mudah dihadhom itiew semua, NAK? On top of that, kami yang service u ols, NAH!?" LOL!!! Mati la mek! Feeling nak cakap jer, mek ngan si Wil tu. Tapi tak pulak berani kami nak cakap...

So Danok tu actually kan, ala ala sempadan belah Thai la. If we have Bukit Kayu Hitam as sempadan sebelah Malaysia, mrasalah Danok itiew persis BKH also - and the town pun, tak dernye besau mane pong. Bak kata BS, meriah lagik SUNGAI PETANI, bole? LOL! Plus it was drizzling, so bukannye boleh kemana sangat dah pun. And plus plus, dah petang sangat dah. Most of the shops ala² dah nak tutup lah. Tapi clubs² lokal baru nak merembes katanya! HIKS!

Tapi kalau nak beli barang² cikmur (murah), Danok is a good place to do some shopping. Tak der lah banyak bende sangat. Like, most of the stuffs, boleh dapat di Malaysia. But, mrasalah dari spend RM150 kat Guardian or Watsons, u ols hanya spend RM80/800Batt kat sana, KAN?

***Sorry nah quality pic KURENG sikit - banyak sebabnya u ols. 1stly ala² battery camphone hem dah ala² kong. 2ndly, dah dark, ala² malam - camera pun serupa hanjs lah sikit, kan? 3rdly - mek banyak bergegar/ bergerak, tu yang cam blurry blur blur itiew! Hiks! Sorry nah! I must reconsider to shop for my very own digital cam! Hiks!







Lepas dah shopping sakan segala bagai (mek tak belik pa per pon... hiks!), kitaorang stop makan sat kat one of the local restaurants itiew. Mek order nasik dengan tomyam udang - MEREMBES!!!!! Sedap sundel! Tapi yang penting, camera phone mek dah kong batterinya, jadik - ADO pics? NAN ADO! Dan mek also tak dapat nak amik pic MAK GAJAH dan ANAK GAJAH u ols! Ade depan kedai itiew - hehehehe... (gajah BETUL lah!)

And then lepas makan, semuanya perut dah persis bapak budak, ape lagik, mata pun stim jer kan - nah, balik la kesahnya. Nak melenggek buat apo lagik kan? Hiks! Apa²pon, mek tetap rase, although tempat tu kexi la jugak, tapi, for a short trip less than 5 hours stay, OK LAH... hehehehe...

Bloggers Idol 2005 - BIundi Masuk (#7 Elimination - NIL)


Aha!!!! This week's 9am announcement entry mek sangatlah gumbira nak buat sebab tiada elimination; just pemilihan masuk one out of the three bloggers yang competed last week utk dimasukkan dan dijoinkan dengan the remaining 5 bloggers yang sedia ado. Yeh yeh! Mek suke! Ok - so, now, what's next ek? Owh yes - Juri jemputan. Sebelum tu, did I tell u ols yang JURY A dah kembali dari Misi Keamanan Jakarta dan sudah bersedia utk kembali bertugaskhidmat dalam Bloggers Idol 2005 week ke 8 nih? Hehehe - yeza. Mek suka mek suka! Mrasalah Jury A itiew memberi komen dalam bahasa Indon lepas nih, kan? LOL! Mati la mek. Dan also, Jury Jemputan minggu lepas, iaitu, JuanDanza also akan kembali bertugas as jury jemputan also utk minggu ke 8 nih! Yer lah - dia terpaksa kami maintainkan as Jury Jemputan sebab kononnya last week dia kata, hanya 3 jer contestants yang dia nak kena adili, macam, ape tah statement berapi nya itiew? Tak mencabar minda? *mati la mek dengan JD lepas nih! LARIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!

Walau apa apa pun, mek bagi pihak BI2005 nak ucapkan terima kasih pada JuanDanza sebab sudi melapangkan waktunya menjadi Juri Jemputan sekali lagi pada minggu nih, despite dengan kebusiannya dengan kerje² nye itiew *pssst! JD! Kem salam kat Mawi kat mek nah? Mati la mek kena hempuk ngan LeeZ! LOL!

Hmmmm - entah lah. Mek rase macam slow sajo hujung minggu nih? Tapi mek also rase mek spent a lot of my time depan pc nih jer? It's my blog entry yang ke-500!!! Huhu!!!


Setelah diperkenankan oleh President Bloggers Tak Serik² Association Sedonia... maka dengan ini... diumumkan, Nurlea Laurielle Lai Lee Abdullah of http://lealaurielle.blogdrive.com, telah berjaya menyempurnakan entrynya yang ke 500!

Hahah! Gila ke idak aku nih? Tah pa per jer. Ado sajo yang nak mek merepekkan kat sinik, kan? Hmmm - tapi, merepek² kat sinik pon, tarkik lah. Sah sah blog nih blog mek - I write you read and comply katanya! LOL!

Bersempenaan dengan hari menyambutnya entry mek yang ke 500 nih, lets la play a game, nak? (tannak pun, MAIN jer lah! Hehehe) Hiks! CUMA, ada satu saje link daripada 25 links tu yang akan memaparkan gambar seorang cik tan yang sangatlah jerz bagi mek (cik tan itiew candiew sangat, dan pic nya itiew adalah sumbangan Miss W.
