Somewhere 2 weeks ago, mek ade buat my wishlist katanya online nih - wishlist ala ala wishing on stuffs mek nak la kan. And antaranya meruperkan itiew DVDs yer... Mrasa... Memula mek nakkan DVD Airport Terminal Pack which contains 4 movies in it... (as shown below la kan...)

YES u ols! Tak cukup 4 citer, gedik2 nih nak tambah satu lagi citer/ movie katanya... and so mrasalah I ols nak nak dvd iniew piuler, kan...

Kan.... So to cut things short (masalahnye, MAMPU ke nak shortkan entry2kiew iniew, kan? Muahahah!), tadi, as mek balik2 jer dari gi La Queen dengan Volksie, C.A., Yazrie, jumpa dengan Kak Lara and Eva Glitters, and Mak Hayam Hazie and Papa Hayam Scarr bersama teman, and also Y Darklighter (mamanya mana tatau?) dan segerombolan kengkawans bloggers, non- bloggers, kawans2 lamer and all la kan (motif tetiber nak citer kes pi La Queen? Muahahah!) So anyways, lepas2 balik jer dari La Queen bagai, masuk2 umah, tgk, wireless, ado - so mek giriaungs! Mek check2kan lah blogdrive mek kot2 ade new comments ke, then check TB/ Cbox for new msgs ke ape ke kan, and then checked Myspace semua (MOTIF!? Penting ke semua iniey!? Hiks!) and THEN, mek pi check my email. Tiba tiba katanya...

Kali nih I'm making a movie review pasal this movie yang direleasedkan back in 1 9 7 8 yer, tahun yang mek sendiri belom lahir! LOL!!!

T U D I A H ! ! ! Mesti korang pikir, like, movie released in 1978 - cemana mek nak buat review citer tahun 1978 dan mek sendiri belium lahir, kan? Hiks. Owhhh no, if you're thinkin' about considering me buat this review based on case- studies on the net, finding 1001 info pasal this 1978- love story, and ended up with this review entry, hahaha you're dead wrong! (Dah la wrong, DEAD WRONG lagi tu! LOL!) FYI, mek just browsed for photos and just nak tgk what's on the net yang ada related dengan the moview nih...

Ade sape² tak in Malaysia yang pernah tgk ke citer nih dulu², somewhere mid '80s, I think t'was somewhere in '86 or '87 kot. Ade tak? I can't actually recall which TV stationed aired it (TV 2 kot?) but I recall watching it, siap record lagi! (Time tu video recording habis hebats la kan! Hiks!) And yes, I was still small yer at that time, tapi, citer dia, mek still boleh ingat sampai ke sekarang ok. (Well, bukan lah mek ingat  sampai 100% pong. Pon begitiew, walaupun dinch ingat 100%, mek rase, mek  ingat pasal citer nih, hmmm, maybe just dalam 50% to 60% kot. But I guess that's good enough la kan, at least mek still MAMPU yer nak buat review nih! Hiks!) These are those few types of movies yang sesuai dengan jolokkan/ digambarkan like -  'The movie that touches your heart and soul, and you'll remember it for a lifetime!'. Ok, so lets not waste anymore time. Mek dah excited nak buat review movie nih my own words... hiks!

M O V I E R E V I E W

Title: I C E C A S T L E S - staring Lynn-Holly Johnson as Alexis Winston, Robby Benson as Nick Peterson

As I could recall, the movie started off with Alexis skating freely, focusing on her grace and talent in the world of figure skating. She then competed in the mid sectionals, with a lot of support and help from her Dad, her Mom (part nih mek ragu was² sket. Rasanya, the lady yang jadi mak kepada Alexis tu, mak TIRI kot, ala ala the real mother passed away, and then the dad kawen lain to this mak tiri yang SANGAT baik! - maaf kalau silap fakta. Either she's a mak tiri or hm, scandal bapaknye? But pa per pon, this lady is sangatlah baik.) and also her love, Nick. Waktu kat mid sectionals competition, she was the only girl competing yang tak berdressing glamour bagai - yes, if you don't mind me saying, without a doubt, yang dipakai skating dress nyer itiew, paling simple paling azab among the rest! (Well, in my opinion, tak der lah hazab mane pon, but from the movie, with the other contestants were all watching, laughing, ngumpat cikpat bagai kat dia, the movie berjaya menggambarkan Alexis was a real amatuer yang ala² berdressing sangkak!). Bila she skated into/ onto the arena, ala ala no one paid attention to her as she was practically a nobody. This somehow reminded me so much of I C E P R I N C E S S, the Disney ice- skating movie itiew. Hiks! Anyways, as she started to dance in her skates, following the music, gracefully glided on the ice like a swan, she immediately caught the crowd's attention, AND, she also grabbed the attention of a very famous ice- skating coach, former ice- skater athlete herself kalau tak silap mek. AGAIN, now as mek buat review nih, I can't help to see the similarity between this movie, I C E C A S T L E and also I C E P R I N C E S S. But then again, it could just be coincidence la kan.


I think she didn't win the sectionals - but she won the heart of the audience and soon the movie tunjuk how this coach approached Alexis, pergi rumah dia or something, and offered her trainings and making her a champ or something like that lah kan. The bf, si Nick, ala² suka tak suka kot sebab he's a ice hockey player jugak ke ape citer tah la. The Dad pulak, I think ade something to do with the late wife being dead, from ice skating jugak ke cemana tah, memula tak approve of Alexis leaving town and heading to the big city to make it big; takut jadik cam his late wife, Alexis late mother. Tapi I think last² dia approve jugak kot. The mak tiri, part nih mek tak ingat sangat lagi apa peranan dia, except for the fact that mek tahu dia yang siapkan dress biru Alexis pakai waktu sectionals (yang mek cakap ala ala simple giler babs dan azabs as compared to the other skaters dresses).

And so Alexis moved on to the city, dilatih dengan jurulatih pro, and meeting this guy from tv station yang ala ala tastekan si Alexis, bla bla bla here and there, Alexis started heading to the stardom, getting everyone's attention, taking the world by storm, and waktu nih la ala ala macam dia sudah start jadi famous (due to her being trained by a very well known professional coach, dan ditambah pulak dengan scandal dengan TV person - bertambah hebats la dikau, KAN!? Hahaha!) and seperti biasa, bila dah famous, ala ala ingat² lupa to remember to keep her feet on the ground. Ade la banyak jugak scenes dia bertanding, menang itu ini bagai. And highlight part middle of this strory kan, she was finally in the Olympics, couldn't recall what year. Did a terrific performance, and after habis, she kuar skating rink, terus pelok coach, and terus pi kiss scadalnya the TV guy itiew, dan tetiber, JENGJEJENGGG!!! Nick, the kekaseh dari kampong ado disitiew... So mula la drama sket, and then tak sempat nak nangis mintak maaf ke ape ke, nama dah dipanggel ke centre of the ice rink utk receive her GOLD medal katanya. But I recalled the camera tunjuk ke arah centre stage, she was atas podium dah, orang yang bagi medal tu dok sebok nak kalongkan the Gold Medal, but she stood there, busy looking ke arah Nick, yang dah bagaikan hilang punca, mengamok bagai, terus belah dari sitiew, and tatau la she accepted the medal ke tidak. I assume she did la kot kan...


Inih bukan review dah nih - nih like telling the story dah nih! LOL! Ok ok, will try and make it shorter nah. Hiks! Anyways, after that night at the games where she won the medal tu, there was this huge celebration organized by the TV guy bf and the famous coach la kan. But as usual, Alexis dah moody, couldn't be bothered about the party, and soon left the room and kuar outside where she skated freely on her own trying to relax her mind. From the party, everyone started noticing she's gliding on the ice, dancing freely, and to the point she decided to make a jump; and when she did, she landed, but her skates terkena macam bucu kerusi besi tepi rink tu apa tah la, and her head terhantuk bagai nak gile kat besi/ krusi itiew, and tudiah! THAT'S IT! Freek accident Wikipedia said - I'd say, it was a disasterous bad landing after her jump! LOL!

She then lost her sights (I wouldn't call it lost her sights but her vision jadi blurry and ala ala rabun yang dasyat, tapi tak la BUTA sampai gelap gulita dunia dia!), decided to bawak diri balik ke kampungnyer, where she isolated herself from public yang still curios what happened to her, and what not. And for a few moments there, mek ingat, ada insiden gaduh dengan Nick lite², then gaduh dengan the ibu tiri sampai she said something like "You're not my mother" or something. Mek tak ingat, tapi mek rasa sebab tu mek speku tu ibu tirinya, and the last part of the movie ade dia sebut "Here's to/ for my mom" or something. We'll get to that part later shortly. So sambung, erm, ah yes, the family, consisting her Dad, Mom and Nick, all worked together to bring back Alexis spirit and joy into the world and the world of ice skating. Sounds impossible? Read whats on the movie poster - "Together they reached for the impossible" nih! Yes, "Together" yang disampaikan tu, kalau tgk dengan gambar tu, nampak its Alexis and Nick la kan - but its actually with a lot of help from her parents tu. That's why the movie is labeled as inspiring and very drama; but, skating, dalam keadaan buta/ rabun? Seriously? Hehehe... anyways, so all of them worked together to make Alexis come back to life, asik lah dia duduk dalam her room, her big dark room, crying itu ini bagai - feeling buta, walhal, vision jadik blur jer. Anyways, days turned to weeks turned to months, tau tau, Alexis competed again, dalam competition yang ala ala sama macam her 1st competition ever dulu, in the same arena/ rink, wearing the same baju biru the mak tiri buatkan itiew - yang membezakan dulu dan now, dulu dia celik, and a nobody. Now, dia ala ala lite2 buta blur, and orang dosi kenal siapakah Alexis Winston - Gold Medalist apa tah, Olympic ke ape tah, yang after victory, silensiokan diri dari public after a fall. TAPI no one, except for few maybe, yang tahu dia blur/ buta. Like during the time dia perform balik kat Arena/ rink tu, hanya like the ex coach, ex TV star bf tu, and her Dad, Mom and Nick je yang tau dia cikbuts (cik buta)! Kesian... kesian... Tsk tsk tsk...

Errr... why kesian??? Apa kesudahannye yer? :)

Over all I'd have to say, seingat² mek to this movie, mek sker! Sangat sker sampai mek ingat lagi dulu² mek used to watch this movie like every single weekend sampai mek dah naik bohsan and ubah haluan jadikan my Barbie Doll jadik ice skater, bole? LOL! A must watch drama, a movie that should be cherished forever... :)

Terus mek tukar nama² profile mek kat Myspace lah, Friendster lah, cam, cantek, kan, ado space² tu? Then lepas tu, second idea tadi - tercetus bab kes CAWAN. But lets not get into detail. Nanti spoil the mood pulak kalau mek citerkan about it now, here, right now, right here, kan? Hiks!

So since I'm the first to put up this entry, I guess, it's only fair I name 5 people whom I have chosen to come along with me, as requested in the T A G G E D title. Hurm... well, it doesn't state it HAS to be someone with a blog, right? It just state that IF the person that I tagged does not have a blog, then, it'll end just there. We don't get to know who the person tagged next, right? Well, he or she who don't have a blog, can still be tagged, and then make that entry in their email and email 'em to moi and me post 'em on your behalf, can right? :)

Anyways, who would those 5 lucky people be? The 1st 6 to spend a week at Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel, Istanbul Turkey - and somemore, spend at the most expensive suite available; The Grand Sultan Suite. Hmmmm... Ok. I've narrowed down the following people:

1. V O L K S - Why I chose Volks even though he doesn't have a blog? Says who he doesn't have a blog. He got one, right Volksie; just with the name/ headline/ title - al reserved in other words. Hiks! Anyways, why did I choose Volksie? Now, tell me, how can I ever live without him? My soul mate, my best of friend, my bro, my shoulder to cry on, my this and that - he's my all, my everything. Of course I'd pick him to tag along, even though he might not have a blog. Although at times we fight, hey, even there are/ were times the sun was upset with the cloud and the rain, and vice versa, right? Hiks! And besides, I know me and him, we'll enjoy every bit of the moment as both of us are adventurous, we often be curious and try out, see new things and certainly, exploring Ciragan Palace Kempinski hotel is one of them... :)


2. 5 t h E - Leave YOU behind after all this was actually your idea?! Muahahaha. Besides, I can always do snappy² here and there with you, right? And yes, YOU DO have a blog. The T A G G E D world/ business/ entry/ lifestyle lives on! Hoyehhh!!! Owh and darling, I wouldn't want to be there without you, miss hearing you giggle and laugh like nobody's business! And who knows, with you there with me, we get the chance to A N I M A L I Z E a.k.a. A N I M A L I S M E ourselves till wee hours in the morning and ended up finding a brand new "FRIENDLY GUY" for you... ;)
   


3. I S I S N A T A S H A - The Goddess of Beauty, Goddess of Nature, Goddess of MEREPEKNESS! How can I not include you slut! You have to come! You MUST! It'll be great to have you along and start talking non-stop nonsense. Of course, at certain time, I'd go about the hotel saying "Who's this Mad Hatter who can't stop talking? I'm sorry. I don't know her... so pretty! I don't like her. So simply woman with lite² make up - I hate her. Voice so woman - I'd kill her!" and off me went for some hi- tea. Hiks! Silly, of course I want you to come along. It'll be fun! It'll be exciting. Then, of course, there will be times when you will suddenly change/ turn yourself to become like your Mentor, Ginger de la Loca. THAT will be the time I'll be cursing myself for bringing you along! LOL!


4. H U S Z a.k.a. P E R V - Now how can I not bring this wonderful slut cum lesbian- partner, happy go lucky, cheerful blogger friend of mine along! Of course you must come, and I bet when you're there, you'll be all like "I squad, I grab and I swallow" right Huszie!? Hiks! You're the ultimate slut, even Isis puts her hands and wigs all on the floor, sujuds for you and your credibility to go out and say what you want, get want you like, and - eh wait, it's say what you like, and get what you want. Hehehe. Owh btw, when you get one, make room for me too! Me want to "Squad, Grab, Swallow" also! OOPPSS! - and now, I suppose, everyone's wondering, who will be the final friend/ blogger/ person to be getting the chance of a lifetime to tag along to this "lets make believe" escape to paradise!
   


5. G I N G E R d e l a L O C A - Ahhhh yes, I know. I know. She's a dear good best friend who so happens to have a blog but looks pretty dead! OPS! She's indeed one of my best friend, she has a blog, and she has that vicious mouth with words that I swear to God, could kill me in sea of tears! OPPPSSS! And speaking of blog, lets just assume she does not have one. The last T A G G E D entry I tagged her, well - you've guessed it right. What makes you think that she'll respond to this tag entry? Hahahaha. But it's just nice to mention her in the top 5 list. At times I hate her for her cheerful disposition; at times I just love her for being older than me. Certain times I couldn't take it when she bad- mouthed me a.k.a bitched about me, right on my face. But right now, everyday, I'm learning to understand how this woman operates. Don't push certain buttons, that's for sure. And what better way to learn more about my best friend, than to bring her along with the rest of the members of the lucky groupie. And with her around, it'll be fun walking down the grand staircases of the hotel/ palace. It'll be like one of those Evening Dress round/ competition in the usual beauty pageants, right gal!? Hiks!
   

And so, there we have it. I've just been officially certified as the person/ blogger to complete this T A G G E D entry. I've placed the T A G G E D story-line/ title/ subject/ objective, and I've listed what it requires of me - me listed 5 names of friends/ bloggers/ best- friends and all, not just listed the names, but made a brief comment/ reason why I think these 5 people deserve to go with me to Istanbul, to stay at the Grand Sultan Suite at The Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel. Hiks! And these 5 names will continue this T A G G E D entry, in which I believe, strongly believe that it'll end up with H U S Z I E, I S I S and 5 t h E who will continue doing this tagged entry. DXB-SIN on EK432, A Taste Of Flying In First Class - Part 5

Earlier on I said, my flight was delayed ex DXB, right? Well - it was like 2 hours delayed and actually, my flying scheduled was somewhat something like this:

26 FEB EK432 DXB SIN 0845/ 1940
26 FEB MH610 SIN KUL 2120/ 2220

But since my flight was delayed for 2 hours - so I sort of like missed my connecting flight back to KUL. But luckily I'm traveling in 1st Class, for both sectors, so upon arrival into SIN, I was greeted by EK representative in Changi Singapore and was told that EK has arranged for me a room at Sheraton Towers Singapore, in return for missing out my connecting flight on MH610 to KUL. So there you go, who says the 1st class treatment was only meant onboard the aircraft? Worth me paying AED5750.00 for the flight ticket! LOL!

I was escorted to the arrival hall, passing through the immigration area, clearing my checked in luggage (my bags were checked in from DXB direct to KUL but since I've missed out my flight, they took my bags out and let me have 'em although I could just leave the bags there at the airport and collect 'em once I check-in again for my SIN-KUL flight the next day)

The airport transfer was ok - with a local cab. All paid by EK. EK also not only paid for my deluxe twin room, but also for my in-room supper dining and also my breakfast and transfer back to the airport from the hotel the next day. Wow - what else could I ever ask for?

And the story, continues...

1st up - the Continental Breakfast service:

One crew was busy setting up the table and doing the table layout with breakfast (continental) and the other crew concentrates on service the drinks

And afterwards, I watched "LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE"...


Later, prior to landing into SIN, around 3 hours before landing, Lunch was served:


Noticed the table was not set with linen and all - in which MH does not practice this. I know, I was an ex 1st Class and Business Class dedicated crew once, so I know all these procedures. And so EK doesn't practice that. Tsk tsk tsk...

Although I must say, EK has an added touch to the table set-up for lunch/ their meal service. They had that small orchid on top of the table in which MH doesn't practice that back then. Don't know about now (i left the airline in Dec 2004)... but I must say the setting was very noiiicee (nice)

DXB-SIN on EK432, A Taste Of Flying In First Class - Part 3

The very next day, on the departure day, 26th February 2006 - my flight was STD at 0845hrs. And after waking up from a slumber sleep/ rest, had my shower and all, and went downstairs to get my early breakfast before heading to the gate for my departure. Yeap, you've guessed it right on again - EAT/ FOOD again! LOL!


And after breakfast, the screen said something like BOARDING and so me went to the gate, gate erm, 36 or 46... but what a surprised it turned out to be - even economy class pax still not boarded YET! And I smell DELAY!!!!!!!!

And after like waiting for like another hour or so - we were all transported on the airport bus from the terminal to the aircraft which was parked like 5 minutes ride away from the terminal. And yes, the smell of DELAY was so so so soooooooooo FRESH! Hiks!

After boarded the aircraft, on ground, the crew in 1st class and the zone itself was busy. Full load in first class.

The cabin in the 1st class, was like in any typical B773s. Spacious and filled with things to be explored - the online demand movies, menu and stuffs. So many things to do in so little time. I was like expecting to fly with B773-ER series coz its fitted with the latest 1st class zone - 180 flat bed/ seat, with individual seating areas. But I guess I just had to settle for the normal 1st class seating config!


LKY: Mek actually was VERY upset it wasn't the Boeing 777ER tu. Sentaps sangat. Macam... arrghhh! I so wanted to fly that 777ER. But well, was still flying on 1st Class la jugak, kan? Muahahahah!

Continued: 1st Class Services - ON GROUND!

And what's next!? FOOD FOOD FOOD! My goodness!!!!!! I swear I think I gained weight during the more than 10 hours stay at the lounge! MY GOD!:




And since I was at the airport way way earlier than the time I should have been, like, I was at the airport since 1830hrs on the 25th of February, whereas my flight was actually on the 26th of February, at 0845hrs - so I was offered a room in the lounge. Well actually they didn't offered me - I went and requested for a room in the lounge. Imagine - a hotel/ bedroom(s) right there, in the lounge itself. It's a definite WOWWWWIEE!!! At first I didn't get the room, as it was full! But later, somewhere around midnight, as other passengers went out of the room for their flight, so after the housekeeping has done their chores, so they paged me and I got my room! WOOPPIE!


STAY TUNED - for the next update in this flight/ travel log will continue with 1st class services on board EK432! Now u have seen what 1st class has got to offer, ON GROUND - wait until you see what's next!
