A great weekend - a small gatherin' between me and...

Dearest all,

It's 4.02am - and am back in Alor Star. As some of you may have known (some ade yang tak sedar pon), I was in Subang Jaya to meet up my dad regarding some matters dalam hal penjualan my USJ apartment tu. So apparently, ade lah some interesting things that happened during my short 'less than 48hours' stay itew. Like, what? Ermmm... ade lah. Lets mek stories! LOL!

Saturday evening lepas Maghrib, mek, my uncle and my mom drove balik ke Subang Jaya (in my uncle's Naza Ria Limited Edition which was like a wayyyy WOHOOO ride! Sedap giler siutssss bawak that car! Mek suke mek suke!) - sampai around, 12.45am (Saturday), which, earlier on, three of my chatboard members katadah.warriors, Adam, and Azeem Zachary sudah berjumpe each other for the 'Puak2 Shah Alam' small ice breakin' meet-up (tah, gi makan kat ceruk mana tah kat Shah Alam tu, ape, Sup Ani ape tah? Hmmm - mek sentaps! But dinch DQ, LOL!!! Maaati la kau G!) - So anyways, bile mek dah sampai Subang Jaya tu, haiyoh - mek dah tak ngantuk - thus itu urge-need nak jumpe Volks also sudah timbullah! Lepas I had to go through my dad's security system (which included the house's security system also - with the help of my bibik of course) - mek telah berjaya menyelinap keluar from SS14 to go and jumpe Volks kat SS15 Maybank. He picked me up, then hoohaahoohaa tak tahu ke mana, we ended up kat Taman Tasik KJ! (Haiyoh!!! OF alllll places, kan???)

Along the way tu, macam, tah - tetiber pulak bangkit isu si Adam the candiew itiew (maati la kau KW!) - so calling2 him and what not, then, around 1nish kot, (or was it dah nearly 2am) - me met Adam for the first time. Haiyoh! LURUH JANTUNG MEK! Tapi, memandangkan nanti ade itiew orang itiew marah kang, mek terpaksa membatasi gerak geri pergaulan mek! LOL! Jumpe kat Taman's parking lot for a while - had a ciggie or two - lepak2, sembang2 (yerrrr lah - sambil nampak a Chinese guy walking around the taman only in his underwear! Ewww gross! Kalau candiew tak per gak, ini? Sedeh - tapi mek tau Azeem pasti tasterinas kat mamat itiew kalau dia nampak! LOL!)

Enuff said about perjumpe sikijap malam itiew - balik, and then siang on Saturday, me busy with my urusan and stuffs. MALAM (actually, baru beberapa jam tadi lah), perjumpaan official Adam, Azeem (yang telah membatalkan trip outstationnye ke Kuantan semata2 nak jumpe mek namun terpaksa go through facials dulu- LOL! Maaati la kau again KW!), VW (who again, picked me up) and me... (LeeZ tak dapat dihubungi - Neo was on his way balik dari Lumut - Eureka last2 minute migrain yang mek pasti binti confirm dia dapat dari si KW tu!!! BS? Haiyoh - mek lupe cakap kat dia!!!! Ginger? Tgh JJCJ either di AS or SP or maybe lying naked watchin' TV - ooppps!) - so itu jer la. 5 of us, sudah cukup menggamatkan Gazzebo SS15 tadi, cuba bayangkan kalo ade BS, LeeZ, Eureka, Neo, Miss G dan jugak FA=BH=PNG... oppss! Love u too hon! Ehehehe - I mean, lets imagine, kalau semua tu ade, haiyoh, lagggi lah meriah. Tapi itu lah, short notice jugak (walaupun KW and I have been talkin' about it for nearly a week, kan.. ) But still, kalaaau lah bebetul well planned and what not, I'm sure I don't want CD, Sumie, Kak Aidid and the rest of other bloggers and non-bloggers yang rajin2 chat di TB mek, I'm sure I don't want these peeps to miss out the small gath thingie. Tak per la. Kedepan2 nih, kite planning the manning bebetuls lagi ek? Cukup lah ade jugak 2 ahli exco board blog mek (KW and VW) yang hadhir... (KW - siap, tambahan ahli exco - Adam dan Azeem! LOL! Serta pelucutan sorang dua dari board itiew. Habis la kau! Keje lagiiii! Ekekek - mana dengan nak ammend the board lah, mane lagi nak burn and post those VCDs to me lah.. OPPPSS!!!!) - and my Guest Blog Writer si Carlos Iskandar pun didn't make it. It would mean so much kalau dia dapat datang - I guess maybe dia nak remain a mystery, unknown to all kot? Hmmmm - ha! RICKY kawannye si Volks ponggg dinch datang. Lebih pentingkan cucuk Vitamin C dari jumpe mek! SEDEH!!! LOL! Mesti kes komisyen itiew! LOL!....

The small gath was fun - Adam was a bit quiet (lain sangat, dalam TB meriah nih!!!!) Volks - macam biasa. Azeem, VERY DER SESUAIII jadik PA/cum lesborinajilkelents partner mek! KW also - memang cam syiall! Cam mane bisingnye dia kat TB, cam tu lah kecohnye dia kat gath tadi- funny fella. Above all, we had fun, didn't we boys? (Me sempat msg FA=BH=PNG waktu during the gath tu, wish you were here lah Yang... :P ). We met somewhere 8.30pm kot (by right 8pm!) and the meet up ended at nearly 11pm (and it ended with a photography session! Tungguuuuu! PICS2 itiew akan ku publish soooonnn!!! LOL! Maati la mek!!!)

Ape2 pon, I would like to thank Azeem, Adam, and KW especially yang beriya2 buat semua confirmation and what not with the rest. Volks, my personal thanks for jadik my driver! LOL! Thanks u ols! It was certainly a pleasure meeting all of u! (walaupun non-ado mek dapat advance birthday present dari bebudak nih! Hampeh!!!!) Hope kedepan2 nih ade lagik la ek? (KW dan VW mek tak worry sangat - Adam and Azeem, please, do stick around. Nanti kite buat tagboard party gath kat PD ke mane2 ke? Hadyai ke? OPPSS! Maati la mek!! LOL)

Dan lepas tu - 11.30pm mek bertolak balik ke AS - and YES I drove ok! My mom naik ngan my dad (who decided nak balik also - tah pa per. Karang *Monday* sure dia potpetpotpet nak suruh mek gi office lagik! KEJIS lah!!!) and me naik ngan my uncle dalam Naza Ria dia yang 3/4 dipenuhi khazanah dari rumah/ apartment USJ mek (which includes this one whole box of photos of MRSM and MAS! MEK SUKE MEK SUKE MEK SUKE!!!!!!) Banyak lagik lerrr entry bab bab MRSM and MAS lepas nih (dan SLOW PULAK LERRRR "Once upon a time, I was that Showgirl"!!! Maati la mek! Hehehehe)...

Told you I will have a great weekend - and thanks to u peeps, I did. Thank you so much for everything!!!! It's 4.39am now - one more entry lepas nih and that's it!!! NITE2 u ols!!

PS: Jgn harap mek masuk chatting kat TB sebelum pukul 12noon karang - mek confirm terbabas tidur - UNLESS my dearly beloved dad akan menyimbah air ke muka mek dan mengheret mek ke office la, hmmmm... Make up- heavy? Or just plain simple?

i've been invited to a wedding early next month. problem is, i do not have anything to match with. i mean, can you wear sneakers with baju kurung? and i don't have a handbag. wearing a sling bag to a wedding is a big no no right? so what should i do now? i know i know this is so ultimately weird for a 23 years old not to have those i've mentioned above but i'm truly desperate.

do i need to get a balck one? or a silver one? i've given up shopping last saturday because it was so damn difficult. and please, i might need to put some makeup. could u please suggest a natural look? this is far more stressing compared to final exams.

I believe I have answered your qs on handbags and also about heels in the previous FaB entry, yes? :) Now, let me just add up up a few extra notes to answer your q regarding the make up thingie... :)

Now, talking about make up - it all really depends on:
  • The occasion
  • The venue
  • Time of the occasion ie. AM or PM, during the day or at night


  • The occasion

    • Different occasions requires different type of make ups. I guess in this case, as we're talking about a 'wedding/ kenduri', the most suitable make up style you should go with would be something light and natural (as you said so yourself) - nothing too heavy (like, you're not goin' for a hoohaa party thingie or clubbing or somethin'). Smokey eye shadows would be a complete no no for such event; light earthly colours would be more appropriate.

  • The venue

    • Venue plays an important role too, in deciding what type of make up style you should apply. Taking for example, if the event takes place in kampung area, more remote area, I doubt a heavy-showgirl make up would be the best make up style to apply - kang, kalah pengantin pulak? :) Kalau the place would be in a banquet hall kat hotel ke ape ke where the lighting is ala ala just nice ke ape ke, then, simple simple (but not tooooo simple) would be the best. Again, something earthly, something light - would just be nice. (use wide rage of earthly colours like dark brown, brown and stuffs for blusher, eye shadows and pale pinkish lipstick/ gloss.. )

  • The time

    • This is plain simple - kalau siang, use light make up; malam, well, excusable la jugak kalau nak apply on something heavy - again it will come back to lightling of the venue and also the proper occasion.

    So basically what I would suggest in your case would be (as you suggested yourself) - light earthly colours and shades for eyeshadow, blusher, shadding and also light pinkish lipstick/ gloss. Besides, simple and sweet always goes well with almost everything that you wear and at any occasion.

    It's pretty amazing to know that my blog entries kat myspaceblog.com still ade org yang viewing it (thus readin' it of course la kan... heheh). I guess it might those from myspace or, it could be those from here dari blogdrive yang nak check my first few entries of blogs of my life which apparently I buat kat myspace.



    Tapi itu lah, bukannye ape, just, I felt, - seronok sangat sebab people still view (walaupunnn tak membacanye.. ehhe) - like, I got to know dari sources (bukan Bernama- hehehe) yang ade some, quite number of people dah khatam (completed) ALL my entries.     I found something...

    Dearest all,
    As I was clearing up some stuffs in my notebook/ organizer, tetiber mek came across this notes yang I used to keep in my service jacket kalau dalam flight. Hehehe - tersenyum kejap mek sengsorang tatkala mengingat kembali kes kes dulu itiew. Mueieueiueieu... sungguh ku terharu tgk keadaan nota2 nih - very the lasam binti kepam. Harus if rebus dalam air and minum, confirm those notes kekal dalam kepala hotak mek. LOL!!! These notes were for me to use waktu keje as Galley Steward in Business Class (main deck of B747-400s)



    This 1st side of the note nih, tells what are the things to do/ check and stuff, during on ground, then, before pax (passenger) boarding, pastu, after pax bording... haiyoh! Mek sunggoh teringat balik zaman2 flying dulu - I'm in tears... *sob!!!sob!!!* - It is not as easy as you ols think ok. It's hard to do a lot of stuffs and at the same time handle full-load pax. How? Easy meh!? Try lah put yourself to the test. Confirm terkangkang!



    This next side is all about duties and stuffs to be done, the minute after take-off (which includes this and that meal services lah itu ini! Haiyoh! Sunggoh mek berpeluh ok!) and before landing duties also. Ingat just before landing tu dah leh tutup kedai? Sorry nah!!!

    Perlu ke mek go in details? Tak yah lah ek. Tgk sendiri lah notes itiew. Kalau tak pepaham jugak - paham2 kan aje lah ek? LOL!

    Mek suke mek suke kenangan lalu melalui nota2 usang nih! CLASSIC! LOL! Hehehehehe.... (NOTE: these notes berusia more than 2 1/2 years ok!!!!)

    Found this fwrded email (again) attached with some good jokes in my junkmailbox. Thought I might as well share it with u ols semue - as I found it rather funny (some of it) - especially the HORROR MOVIE tu! Lol!!!!

    Lea: You know what they say; 'What goes around, comes around!' - LOL!!!

    Lea: This is what happens when you have a police who carries a gun with two nuts only without extra bullets (brains) - LOL!!! Can't blame the policeman in this case anyways... heheheh.

    It is with great honor and pride for me to release my first entry under this new Fashion and Beauty column - answering to a question/ situation problem by one of my loyal-readers of my blog. (I wasn't expecting my first entry to be an entry of answering a q or something, mek budget like ala ala maybe my first one or two entries would be just something regarding general views on current fashion and beauty secrets and stuff - namun, mek sungguh terharu sudah ade dapat soalan dari pembaca! Oh mek terharu!!!)

    "Dear LL,
    i'm 23 years old and have been invited to be an usherette early next month. problem is, i've never ever put my toes inside high heels and never had a handbag.
    all this selecting handbags and heels are just killing me. HELP!!" - uculer

    Dearest Uculer,
    It is never ever to late to learn anything in life (that also includes wearing heels first time dalam 23 tahun dalam kehidupan u ols!) and believe me dear, I quote what you said earlier on, "Problem is, I've never ever put my toes inside high heels and never had a handbag" - that's not a problem lah sayang (if size kasut pilihan hati anda tiada di 5 cawangan Vincci di KL, NOW THAT'S A BIG PROBLEM! Lol!!!). So, ok. First things first. People always say that erm, settle yang susah dulu, yang senang later on. In your case, if I may say so, getting yourself selesa with heels adalah our main priority; handbags, second. And kalau ikut teknik umum, we should settle kes heels dulu, correct? WRONG - in fashion wise (pada pendapat mek) settle yang senang dulu - sebab if you take things light and easy, hujung hari nanti, yang easy tu lah akan jadi susah (how? Yer lah - buatnye you cannot find the proper handbag to go with your dress ke ape ke? Lagi la susah) So lets settle bab handbag dulu.



    Now, talking about handbags, I must ask you, what are you planning to wear? Since you tak soal me about costume wise, I assume you have no problem finding the correcto de purfecto dress as an usherette for the event. So decide what you're wearing, then only you could shop for a handbag. Shopping for a handbag can be an easy thing to do, provided you know what you're wearing and for what occassion lah kan. And for dinners, I would suggest something simple yet presentable; nothing too big as it'll look bulky plus it wouldn't go well with the event and back to square one, it might not match what you wear. Black is always the best choice as you can use the same handbag over and over again. Forget about buying a matching coloured handbag with your dress. Since this is your first handbag, I would suggest you find a black one, something at least muat la nak letak barang keperluan asas (handphone, compact, lipgloss and stuffs) - jgn la beli handbag yang nak masukkan handphone pun tak muat, ok? :) Owh and erm, try not to spend so much on handbags - you might need more than one so berpada2 beli setiap handbag itiew. I would suggest you try usya2 kat Sungai Wang Plaza... :)



    Moving on about heels pulak, ok?



    Now this not only requires the correct heel that matches well with what you're wearing, but, at the same time, you have to get yourself comfy with the heels. Tidak perlulah anda beli heels ala ala Supermodel tingginya - try to buy something yang ala ala nak kata tinggi tak tinggi, rendah tak rendah, ha...cam tu la. Beginners I would suggest 2 1/2"? 3"? Make sure you try 'em kat tempat you beli tu (if I may suggest, Vincci - murah berpada, ala ala affordable la kan - dan Vincci banyak selections sangat) - and once you try, bukan sekadar try, WALK in 'em kat kedai tu. Make sure yang you beli those heels juga berdasarkan konsep "Ya, kakiku puas dan tak sakit ketika pakai heels nih" dan juga "Senang jugak nak jalan ek in this heels? Hmmmm" - ok? Owh and don't get heels yang tumitnye very deerrr runcing sekals!!! Find yang heelsnye itiew ala ala tebal sikit so that it'll make things easier for you. Besides, you will be walking a lot so I expect you nak feel comfy bile berjalan kan? :) Dan colour heels tu again mestilah bersesuaian dengan dress/ what you're wearing itiew. Again, kalau boleh, for a start, try to get black (as it will go along with your handbag too - oh, forgot to tell. Heels dan handbags, normally akan disamapadankan dari segi warna - tak kiralah apa dress colour kita pakai, janji handbag dan heels, skema colournye sama.. ). Lepas dah dapat heels pilihan hati, bile dah balik, try walking in 'em. I KNOW how it feels like to wear heels utk kali pertama dalam hidup - it can be hard but with determinations and practices, anda pasti berjaya (siape cakap for basic heel-users jer nak kena berlatih walking in heels? Sah sah kalau masuk Ratu or buat show catwalk pon kena belajar jalan in heels tau! Ehehehe - like I said, never too late or too old to belajar anything and everything) - owh and erm, kalau boleh, try put a book on top of your head while you practice berjalan in those heels. Seriously, it will help you to stabilize yourself once you're in those heels and it'll teach/ train you to walk straight, heads up and be confident... :)

    Today, I am proud to bring you, another interesting segment in my blog, the Fashion and Beauty FaB segment with me, Nurlea Laurielle Lai Lee Abdullah!!! (Hehehehehe)

    Starting from today onwards (well, it won't be a daily entry la ek, please take note! Hehehehe), I will be sharing with all of you viewers the latest fashion and its reviews plus goin' into details about beauty tips and care for all walks of life, men, women and erm, the combination of both! LOL!
