ONCE UPON A TIME, I WAS THAT SHOWGIRL - Episode 3

From the last episode... Episode 2: The second half of the year 2000

So there you go - perkembangan mek in 2000. Dah ala ala exposed lah jugak. I mean, by the time 2000 ended, ramai dah kat BB area kat Bukit Bintang itiew dah kenal... "Ooooo itu laaa si |Lady^L`0reaL^The^Great| itiew..." ehehehe. Tapi waktu tu, I have to admit. I get this amazing sights of real divas, yang performing kat BB (BudakBiru) itiew,... I mean, like, boobies... real hair... haiyoh!!! Cantik ok! Very der mek feeling2 kejap tapi... tah lah. I guess pintu hati mek nak drag belum terbuka itu time. Eheheh... maybe dalam Episode ke-3 kot, maybe, who knows? Kalau nak tahu... wait for the 3rd Episode of "Once upon a time, I was that Showgirl".... :)

Episode 3: The year I started menjinakkan diri dengan make ups and drags

Well... lama ke lamaan, kalau dah tang2 malam dok menengok si Along and the USJ3 gang dok drag jer, I guess - as a normal human being, mek tak dapat melarikan diri dari also nak drag. Mulalah goyang goyah sikit pendirian "Simpang ma'laikat 44 mek nak drag - cukup lah sekadar semi drag..."

So it all started bile mek telah dengan rela hati membenarkan Along and Angah main test2 make up dekat muka mek. Test pi test mai one fine night - and after siap... I was like, "Ooohhh myyy God! Is that me!?" It was really amazing how Cik Ngah ngan Cik Long mampu menukar wajah mek at that time. I was shocked, I was speechless... I was like... "Kalau macam nih lah rupenye I lepas dimake upkan, naaakkk lahhh drag selalu..." Ehehehe- boleh??? Ehehehe.

First time drag - azab kan? Ade lah jugak unsur2 pecah tembelang kat muke mek time tu, like, any idiot can detect am not a real girl... kan? LOL!!!


But semuanye berlaku dalam rumah USJ tu jer. We would drag and drag and what not - and ended up buat video clip lah, main ratu2 dalam rumah lah, this and that - semuanye happened only dalam rumah. Seriously, tak confident langsung nak keluar like that. Dah lah dengan kelengkapan2 utk go out in drag pun tak cukup; like, duh? Mana mek ade bra time tu - I don't have wigs (waktu drag2 dalam rumah tu pun, I was like pinjam here and there wigs yang ade, alkaedahnye semuanye wig kejungz... I'd say mop lantai punnn lagi cantik! Ehehehe).

Tapi kirenye, tercapailah jugak dreams and hopes nak drag and buat show Erra Fazira dengan the rest of the gang dalam the house. Ehehehe. Very der feeling yang teramatz sangat. Tambah2 dengan kata2 sokongan moral, Acu, Angah, Along and the gang "Anjang cantik lah... lawa la.." this and that, lagiiii lah berkobar2 semangat nak drag; yer lah, dah org cakap cantik, lagik lah berangan tak kesudah! Eheheh. But still - it wasn't enuff for me to actually go out and parade in front of public. Malu sangat. Segan. And I don't have anything to wear also! Heels!? Nan ado! Handbags? Ado? Owwhhh no no no - "This is just for indoor purposes and I'm definitely not goin' out like this.. very derrr lah! What if MAS dapat tangkap mek in drag? What if my family, relatives, dapat tahu? Eeewww! Tannak lah! This is sooo like, permenantly ala ala agenda main2 dalam rumah jer... for fun sake only!"

So lepas2 pada tu, mek tetap went out in semi drag - dinch berani lah nak keluar drag in full. Lagipun, ... ahhh ... I've got so many other things to think about and plus, apa lah sangat nak drag2 time tu? Macam - tah lah. Nan ado apa apa faedahnye pon...

So I still continued goin' to Kelab Budak Biru in Bukit Bintang tu, I continued admiring the beauty of a lot of those drags, be it yang tak 24-7 or yang dah completely live their life as a woman 24-7 sudah. Semuanya cantik2. Time tu like, I sendiri amazed cam mana they can look so good. Couldn't just be the make up? Mesti muka diaorang kalau tak make up also dah cantik. And plus most of them, haiyoh - cakap dengan nada suara yang sunggoh woman (kepit suara). Whereas me, ado? Nan ado mampu mengepit suara!!! Suara tetap bapak ghanduk pun kalah! Cakap sini, nuuuunnn 100meters sana also can here, dinch perlu megaphone! LOL!!!!

Meanwhile - dalampada masa yang sama, mek makin lincah dipersada... NO, not persada shows or catwalk. Gile? Tah tah pakai heels pon leh tertonggeng jatuh; inikan ada hati nak drag in public? LOL!!! What I wanted to say was mek makin lincah dipersada mIRC. Makin org kenal dan mek makin kenal ramai orang. Just... tah lah. Love that feeling... macam, ramai kawans and what not.

And at the same time, mek masih meneruskan kerjaya mek as a flight stewardie (stewardie nih nama gelaran crew kasik for adik2 lembut itiew. Stewardess for girls, stewards for those jejantans... ppl like mek? They called us stewardie... LOL!) So aside from busy flying doin' domestic routes, 2001 was the same year mek got promoted buat international routes. Memang lepas tu mek very der busy sekals. So like, tak tiap2 minggu mek keluar ke Bukit Bintang tu... but kalau ade kelapangan, keluar lah jugak. But lepak at USJ, itu, it's a must - bilakala ade cuti jer, pantang ade je offdays, USJ3 tu la tempat mek lepak. Waahh now advance - sampai2 jer, "Along - lets drag!!!! Ehehehe" Haaa.. cam mana itiew???? Sapa nak jawab? Sudah ketagihan drag ke? Ehehehe - dalam rumah jer, tak pe... LOL!!!

Ok - 2001 really buat a big turn when one weekend, when me and Angah went to BB. And while we were there, ade lah mek tgk satu show. We were there normally at 11pm plus. And shows waktu tu started at 1am kot. Mata dah ngantuk time tu, dah merengek2 I ajak Angah balik. Namun, mek terus hilang mengantuk as I watched this dance show, dari showgirl ternama, Sherryn Rebecca Louise. Memang cantik, memang meletop! Woman tak hengat dah nih. With real hair, boobies, pakai swimsuit piece lagik - buat lagu apa tah show dia, siap pakai bulu2 semua nih - Dan waktu itiew lah, mek tetiber berkhayal, beranga, ... berangaaaan sangat2 sampai ala ala tetibe... I had this sudden wish... tetiber jer, time tu mek tengah berangan, feeling sengsorang, admiring Sherryn, tibe2 I wished for something....



"How I wish I could be just like her? Famous, well known, cantik; (doesn't mean I need all those boobie jobs and what not) - semua orang suke nengok dan semua orang wanted to be just like me. So very diidolakan! I also want a real showgirl glamour life, one fine day - how I wish that one fine day will be soon! I wanna be popular - I wanna do shows... I wanna masuk beauty pageants for real - no more olok2...." tapi - tah la.. I guess I was just wishing for some stuff which I know will never happen...

Then all of a sudden... lepas I made that wish - that very moment when I said to myself "Ahhh abaikan jer lah - that wish will never come true. Who am I kidding...", I felt a hand on my shoulder and a voice saying... "Jauh termenung? Teringin ke???" .... - to be continued... in Episode 4, of Once upon a time, I was that Showgirl....
