ONCE UPON A TIME, I WAS THAT SHOWGIRL - Episode 15


From the last episode... Episode 14: 2004 - A beginning of a more-challenging year (First half of 2004- Part 1)

So although I thought 2004 gonna start off well, ghuper2nye, nan ado! Despite semua 3M dan issue2 berbangkitz nih, I still went on with my shows, performing seperti biasa (nama itu sudah up lagi lah by this time! Hehehhe) and talking about bile buat shows, ramai yang commented I've changed dalam style performing, lebih, how should I say, matang? And the fact that ramai enjoyed my shows and complimented on my shows dan jugak on my fake beauty itiew. LOL! Tapi, seriously, sometimes it made me wondered - "Diaorang enjoyed my show becoz of my show, or sebab enjoy tgk ME on stage?" Get it tak? Like - they (the audience) datang tu, tgk show mek sebab minat tgk me perform, or just nak tgk kecantikan mek? (haiyoh! Hazab statement kiew ini! But its true - I though about it all the time - like, serious ke show mek meletop? Ke depa suka tgk something beautiful jer, biarpon show macam kayu? Hmmm). Walau apa apa pon, pemikiran tu tak lama sebab mek leka dan asyik dibuai compliments (regardless about the show ke or about my kecantikkan ke or about my DAGU ke! Oppsss). And the first half of 2004 nih pon, I was also busy competing in various TS beauty pageants - sampai ade yang kata "Alahai - alih2 muka nih je? Tak der muke lain ke?" and this part mek akan kupaskasankan dalam Once upon a time, I was that Showgirl Episode 15: 2004 - A beginning of a more-challenging year (First half of 2004- Part 2). Dan just to let u know whats coming, dalam part 2 itiew, akan ada satu lagi statement of the year!!! "ENOUGH with Beauty Pageants"... Haiyoh!! Perlu ke!?!?!??

Episode 15: First half of 2004 - Part 2 - (i) A road to another failure; Miss World Diva Pageant 2004 - Bahagian 1!!!

Confusing musing ek tgk title episode kali nih? Now, pay attention everyone. This is gonna be a bit, erm, confusing. So kalau u ols tak ikut dari the last2 episodes, memang pening sikit. Ok. In the last episode mek citerkan perihal 1st half of 2004, kan? And supposedly entry nih, mek kena habiskan part 2 of first half of 2004, kan? Tapi kan, sebenarnye, dalam Part 2 nih pulak, ade lagi la pulak sub-parts. Sebabnye, 2nd part of the first half of 2004 nih, mek nak ceraikan kepada beberapa sub parts and each sub part tells u about different pageants yang I masuk (tak der lah sampai kesemua pageants yang mek masuk dalam 2004 tu, kalu ikut camtu, HAUS lah mek! LOL!), sampaikan show ke mana, ape ke mana semua, sampaikan satu hari tu mek dah naik "fedddup, sshhaadaapp and enuffff" with beauty pageants.

So now, paham la ek?? Kenapa part 2 of first half of 2004 nih ade sub sub ceraian beraians parts piula, kan?? Bagusss... LOL! Cam tu la kalu nak jadik showgirl! Kena paham bende2 yang tah pa per nih! Maati la aku! Tu belum masuk lah 2nd half of 2004 - I wonder berapa parts pulak, and berapa sub-parts pulak? Haiyoh! Mek ingatkan its gonna be easy writing about year 2004 - ghuper2nye, ado? Nan ado! Hmmm that explains why updates about OUATIWTShowgirl episodes nih very der lembat (lembab campur lambat! LOL!)... hehehe...

Haiyoh! Tak paham jugak!? Tunggu at the end of this entry sebab mek ade buat something which may help! LOL!... :)

So anyways, back to Episode 15: First half of 2004 - Part 2 - (i) A road to another failure; Miss World Diva Pageant 2004 - Bahagian 1!!!

Selepas menyambut ketibaan the year 2004 with Glitters, performed kat Bleu Bar, then lari ke Velvet, then lari balik ke Bleu Bar (Haiyoh penat sangat malam tu! Imagine, we walked all the way from Jalan Pinang - that's where Bleu Bar is, somewhere kat itiew what do you call, Beach Club, ah yes.. anyways, dari Jalan Pinang, gi ke Velvet yang kat belakang Regent Hotel itiew, then patah balik ke Blue Bar, JALAN KAKI, MALAM NEW YEAR!?!?!) So anyways, aside from that malam new year's show itiew, sokseksoksek dah mengabar anginkan pasal Lady Loreal tannak bertanding ratu cantik lagik. Like, hello? As if! I meant, I tannak bertanding beauty pageants gayboys dah since I've won myself Miss Malaysia 2003 kan? Takkan nak mencemar duli titles, kan? LOL! So anyways, abaikan ape diaorang nak kata. Yang penting sokseksoksek lain pulak ade menyatakan bahawasanya, MISS WORLD 2003/2004 (it was supposed to be held in 2003 tapi terlajak sikit ke 2004) yang akan diadakan oleh Mak Ayam besar Mak Ita (Ita yer, as in, Ruhil Rozita, bukan Mak Ite' Showgirl fav. si CD tu! Oppsss) So anyways, Mak Ita nak buat Miss World 2003/2004 for Divas (pre and post op transsexuals)! Mek ape lagik? Teruja lah! Find out here find out there, ok, so they benarkan transgenders (gayboys in dresses) masuk also. I was soo so sooo happy (walaupun ramai adviced mek jangan masuk sebab it's under Mak Ita and when you compete under Mak Ita's contest, theres no way a non-teteks drag queen could possibly win that coveted crown and title -tapi mek degil! TETAP nak masuk!) Dengan the new DAGU (ooppss! Mati la mek!), mek makin teruja nak compete as I think I have the features of a real woman dah (mementang ade dagu panjang dan runcing hasil injection kebahagiaan Kak Lin, dah FEEELING berangan overdose!) - But there was just one thing, one tiny problem (tah... I don't see it as a problem dah pon now, kot2 waktu tu, maybe la kot!). The pageant was in February, and aside from not having anything to wear, I was actually having my weight problems again! DAMN IT! Diet? Buddofcourse. Tapi ikut kata temanj seperjuangan mek, si Eva Natalia Gabriel...

"Nyeh, contest tu dah dekat. Ko diet gile babi cam mana pon, kalau nak gemuk, gemuk jugak. Makes no difference la ko diet ke ape ke - sah sah kalau ko diet bagai nak rak, macam la boleh kurus mendadak?" - True - memang true. Nak jer aku stop diet tapi, mek tetap teruskan diet makan sekali sehari jer tu. (gile tau diet mek!)

So preparations mek, ala ala sesuatuh la jugak iyer2nye as I was determined sangat nak win this title. I would be menipu yang nampak sangat2 kalau I say I masuk just for fun! So anyways, with the help of VW (my chatters kat TB tu lah), and my make up artist, si Vee itiew, sama sama the three of us went all the way, from A to Z, prepared this and that, for everything. VW siap print out informations about Domincan Republic from the internet, dia carik relevant infos, nak kasik mek all the infos and stuffs about Dominican Republic itiew. Pastu kami sama sama decided pasal design dress mek tu (sebab I managed to get local designer Haidee tu, to sponsor me the national costume and evening dress also - he said give him what I want ie my designs, and he'll siapkan for me within one week. Yeap, VERY short notice mek kasik tau kat dia - tapi bersyarat, and syarat dia would be sharing 50-50 kalu mek menang Best National Costume or Best Evening Dress... gittu. And the dress he gets to keep - I said, FAIR ENUFF! Mek tak kisah la bab bab tu. Mek dah desperate nak masuk tu, no dresses no nothing! HELP! And so he did) So anyways, Volks (VW) and I decided for national costume, we wanted the dress, concept, all white - very clean very white gittu. Well, innitially it looked good but later2 orang cakap2 sokseksoksek, my national costume should have been my evening dress and my evening dress should have been my national costume. Tah la. Mek also pening tapi waktu tu dah lepas pageant. Nih before the pageant. So, as for evening dress pulak, I liked one of Nicole Kidman's dress waktu dia pakai pi Oscar what year tah, 2003 kot... Dior light purple design. Cuma we decided nak jadikkan ia kaler merah menyala cilipads. Namun, dapat kat tangan si Abang Haidee tu, nah!!! VW upset! Dress tu terus bertukar wajah - lain yang mek nak lain jadik. NAMUN mek tetap suke ala ala - I LIKE IT I LIKE IT! (so direct translation of Mek suke mek suke! LOL!) Yang penting, mek mula menggabra dengan VW and Kak Vee, why? National costume all white itiew dah siap. Namun, MY EVENING DRESS TAK SIAP SIAP!?!?!? HOW? Even, waktu hari Jumaat (pageant was on Saturday night) ptg tu, mek gi fitting dress tu, still tak siap! I had to wear the dress dalam boutique dia yang beralamat di tingkat LG, (can't remember the shop number), Semua House, Masjid India itiew, dan dalam dok pakai dress tu, I had to become a patung cendana and biarkan dia (Haidee) with his assistants, tempek2 bulu2 dan diamonds2 dan bunga2 kat dress tu. Memang dress tu cantik, very detailed, macam2 dia taruh. -And the corset, yeeeeessss! 3 orang pakaikan malam tu kat bilik persalinan (Kak Vee, VW and Haidee himself - imagine, 3 orang pakaikan corset tu, tarik sekuat2 hati diaorang, nak kasik nampak shape slimmer, tapi nan ado!) So anyways, ptg Jumaat tu mek dah cuak. Cuak gile debabas sebab tak siap. And malam tu pulak, I had to become of the judges for Model Look of The Year 2004 (ala ala Supermodel lah punye contest) dan mek had to crownkan the new winner (yes, malam tu jugak mek nampak Miss Ginger De La Halia Kering tu - tapi mek dinch kenai/ rapat dengan dia sangat waktu tu, so mek jeling2 je la. Lagikpun mek sentap tak habis lagik time tu. Yer lah, kan dia Miss Universe 2003, mek 2nd runner-up jer. KOWSER! Suka lah tu!)

Yooo lah! Mek lah yang macam siyut gebebab dok tepiii sekali tu! Feeling make up au natural - NAN ADO JADIKNYE! But I loved the hairdo! Ekekeke- Very curly wurly bouncy Beyonce... bole? LOL!


Khusyuk nih tgk contestants - jadik judge nih penting. Tapi lebih penting dalam kepala hotak mek, dok pikiaq pasai MALAM ESOK TU PULAK AKU YANG BERTANDING! Dan EVENING DRESS MEK TAK SIAP LAGIK!? TIDAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK


Ala ala menantikan saat dan tika MC nak announcekan pemenang, so mek dah dijemput naik awal2 lagik, utk crownkan the new winner (since mek yang sponsor rantai choker utk pemenang malam itiew and plus, mek kan selaku Supermodel 2002, merangkap lah kirenye. LOL! - CEH! Branganz! Supermodel aponye tembam bentart cam tu!)


The usual act - kena kiss2 laga2 pipi dengan pemenang itiew. Mujur pemenang itiew kawan mek also - kalau dinch kawan, haiyoh - mrasalah diaorang laga2 pipi dengan Miss Malaysia 2003 itiew - waktu tu title still hangat still fresh lagik! MAAAATI LAH AKU!


Abaikan fakta mek tgh crowing tu. Sila alihkan pandangan anda pada kemantappan bontots mek! LOL! Mati lagik laaa aku lepas nih kena panah petir kekutukkans! LOL!!!


So after malam tu, balik rumah - tidur pun ala ala lite2 jer nyenyaknye sebab risau bab Miss World esok tu. Yer lah, dengan dress tak siap lagik. Haiyoh! Mek risau sangat!

So the next day tu, siang ade short rehearsals. Kak Vee followed sebab I checked in bilik, so I asked lah Kak Vee to lepak in the room dulu while I go and rehearse. Tgk2, nah! Kat hall tu ade all contestants, transsexuals most of them, and without make up, NAH! DAH LAWA GEDEBAS! Mek dah cuak lagik time tu, tapi bila dah nampak Ayang, Emma Hatta (another two transgenders yang also masuk bertanding) mek rase ok lah, at least ade gang. Ayang lagi sial. Dia cakap kat mek dia nak make up kan orang malam tu, then bile mek tanye dia masuk ke? Sbb she pergi rehearsals, then tetibe jawab, gantikan orang. So mek pon, hmm.. hambar, namun, ok jer. Sebab Emma Hattas still ade. Tau tau malam itiew - AYANG ALSO MASUK! Keji sangat ponen tu. Geram mek. Tapi thankS GodS dia masuk - ade gang gayboys nih mek suka jugak. Tak ler tersisih sangat.

So lepas rehearsals, balik bilik - guess what. VW dah sampai, dok sembang2 ngan Kak Vee, namun, HAIDEE MASIH TAK MENJELMA dengan the dress! MAK MAKIN CUAK! Haiyoh! MATI LAH AKU! Calling2 dia pon, still kat boutique. Dah start make up (mek amik Kak Vee jugak sebab sentuhan dia lah buatkan mek menang Miss Malaysia!), tgh make up, call dia, ON the way. Call lagik setengah jam, STUCK dalam jam. MEK DAH MRASA NAK NAK NANGIS DAH! Pastu, it was nearly 7pm. Contestants kena ade kat bawah (changing room) by 7.15. Mek dah siap siap semua, pakai kuku pelesu (VW tolong pasangkan! LOL!) sprayed shimmer glitters satu kepala badan semua - muka semua - namun HAIDEE tetap tak sampai! MEK MAKIN GABRA OK! 7.10pm mek rase, dia sampai dengan wife dia. Nah - bilik hotel mek tu, terus jadik overpacked. Wife si Haidee, Haidee himself, VW, Kak Vee, ME! 5 orang dalam bilik tu, semua kelam kabut tolong mek pakaikan my national costume, cucuk bulu ape tah kat sanggul kat kepala mek tu, the wife pakaikan accessories mek - Kak Vee tolong2 Haidee, VW tolong pakaikan kasut bertali2 tu (Yer, kasut tailor made satu material dengan dresss ok!) Mek yang penat tau dalam bilik tu. Plus mata cuak jer tgk jam dah 7.20!!!! Mati lah aku.....

And then, semua siap. FINALLY! Hehehe - and by the time mek turun kelam kabut ke bilik persalinan kat bawah itiew - nah!!!! Mek baru orang ke lima sampai. Yang lain masih tak sesampai! Mek sentap! Ehehehe - Dan ade jugak yang MASIH BELUM SIAP! Haiyoh! Perlu ke kes Miss Malaysia dulu tu berulang lagiques??? Isk isk isk - dalam pada tu, some transsexuals yang dah kenai mek, bile nampak mek dalam bilik tu, jenis tak kisah la kan. Tapi yang those yang tak kenal tak pernah jumpe or even look at me in drag before, haiyoh! Ternganga bagaikan nak tertanggal itiew rahang molot! Yang penting, kutukans kejis tetap mek terdengar.

Sabar lah Lea, hang getek sangat nak bertanding dengan transsexuals yang wayyyy out of you league nih, so, terima jer lah! - Thats what I said to myself lah kan... LOL!)
