Berbuka Puasa bersama 5thE, BS dan CA di Menara Alor Star


Hello hello hello... bertemu-sua kita kumbali ya di dlm entry terbaru noh.... hiks!

Lebey kureng 2 tahun lepas (2006... 2005 - ha, betul la 2 tahun lepas! *sambil pose pose jari jemari kire mengire... hiks!), mek ado buat entry berbuka puasa bersama 5thE dan Prof kawannye kat Menara Aloq Staq, kan? Ha, tak hingat dah - hish! Nih ha link, suker kan nak kena spoonfeed bagai! ( L I N K - trimakaseh Blogdrive's feature "BLOG SEARCH", memudahkan keje mek carik balik entry itiew. LOL!). Mrasa kali nih, 2007 - ALSO berbuka puasa di menara Alor Star bersama 5thE; only this time Prof nan ado (miss him lar 5thE! Bwk la dia datang A/S lagiks!!! Hiks! Sker la itiew Mak Hayams!). Dan this time, 5thE dan mek dijoinerinas oleh BS and CA. Clust noh BS - kita dah masuk kali kedua dah berbuka kat Merana, eh, Menara Alor Star itiew dalam masa within a week noh? LOL! Hari tu 1st time dengan si csi_X. Hiks.

And so anyways, no no, mek dinch la mau buat review bagai like the last entry mek buatkan on October 19th, 2005 itiew. Bukan malas, its just that the staffs banyak yang sama, dishes, well, tasty as ever, condisi, biasa jer - sama jer, cuba bezanye adalah HARGA dan kepadatan guests - haiyoh! 2005; so so la crowdnye, with MYR35.00 per pax. Now, after 2 years (last year seingat mek dinch la berbuka puasa kat menara itiew... hurmmm) - it's MYR38.00 per pax (adult). Mek speku last year musti dalam MYR36.50, kans? Hiks! And 2 kali mek gi this year's Ramadhan, kepadatan guests yang hadir berbuka puasa, haiyoh, banyak sekals!


5thE: "Jemputlah makan hidangan hari raya I ols!!!" - walhal raya seminggu lagi nih! LOL!

5thE tgh berada di A/S skarang as we go on dengan entry nih, since 2 hari dah (2nd October dia sampai - Jumaat nih balik la dia... *Sob sob*) and setibanya dia on his 1st day, mek bawak dia bersama BS dan CA berbuka puasa bersama la kan. Lagi pun memang 5thE nak sangat gi sekali lagi ke restoran itiew; MEK TAU PASAIPA! Hiks! And mek and BS pon memang sker berbuka sitiew; its like, value for money la u ols. Berbaloi ok with that MYR38.00 tu. Dan CA, well, mek always wanted him to come along.

"TUDIAH!!!" katanya si 5thE melihat pinggan lantakkan CA. Haiyoh! Nih kes aniaya yer! CA bangun pi amek lauk apa tah, kami cepat² letak pinggan² hasil jamahan kami semua kat main couse plate CA dengan harapan semua akan tahu CA yang makan banyak... hehehe kesiannn... tak baik tau 5thE! Ops!

So anyways, kaedahnye, point utama mek buat entry nih, selain dari nak show share pics and all, mek nak citer pasal ade this one case katanya.

The revolving restaurant of Seri Angkasa, under the management of Seri Melayu Restaurant, the same management/ restaurant for KL Tower itiew la kan, telah mengamalkan konsep NO SKOMING (Smoking lah!) utk restoran diaorang. Ala ala, like, DINCH SMOKING biarpun terdesak, gasak pi la kat hang kan. BY RIGHT yer. BY RIGHT. Akan tetapi,...

Apa sudah jadik ek!? Haiyoh - Kaedahnye, bukan skadar guests/ patrons sajork yang melanggari polisi itiew, malah, STAFF also (namely sorang Chef mek nampak - bukan Chef Aduka yer, dan sorang managing staff mek rase) isap rokok also yer dalam restaurant tu. Yang si Chef tu kenampakkan masuk ke dalam tangga emergency dan melepaskan nafsu serakah rokoknye dalam tu - so kire consider ok la jugak. Akan tetapi, yang membuatkan mek bengang sangat, hat sorang managing staff tu, slamber bewak jer isap rokok DALAM RESTORAN itiew itself yer, somemore, NEXT TO ME OK! Terus mek melenting after that and ajak 5thE and CA and BS balik terus (it was somewhere dah lepas berbuka, 45 minutes lepas berbuka. Berbuka was at 7ish. The thing happened after 8 camtu la; guests pon like half only yang ado, but, STILL,... unethical sangat, KAN!?)

Jadi apa mek buat? Like the msg mek sent dalam website itiew, mek kotakan ler. Mek buat surat u ols! (Thanks to Fiebs and Volksie yang tolong tgk²kan sama the letter tadi. Hiks!)

RE: SMOKING INSIDE THE REVOLVING RESTAURANT

Assalamualaikum w.b.t,

I have been a regular/ returning customer to the restaurant since 2005; and whatever happened yesterday (October 2, 2007) was very unethical and thus very unacceptable.

I was dining in the revolving restaurant of Seri Angkasa for 'Berbuka Puasa' with my fellow friends on the above said date when this incident occurred. It appeared to me that there were a few (if I may say, MANY) customers/ guests were smoking at the Emergency staircase with its door wide open – which happened to caused the smoke detector to go off for while there. Smokes from the cigarettes were all over the entry foyer/ reception area and I was there looking at it while none of the management staffs even bothered to stop any of the guests from continuing smoking. But that's not whats troubling me.

Whats troubling me was the fact that not only guests/ customers/ patrons were smoking at the Emergency Exit staircase, but also STAFFS of the restaurants, and joined by the management personnel. If you think that's bad, wait until I tell you the fact that some of the management staffs have the nerve to come inside the restaurant, and smoked like there's no "NO SMOKING" policy advised and what's worse, the personnel sat right next to me and smoked his cigarette. And no, I have nothing against people who smokes as I am a smoker too. But rules are NOT MEANT to be broken, yes? It was clearly stated, and noted for the fact that the restaurant followed the policy of "NO SMOKING" whilst inside the restaurant and what happened/ what I experienced yesterday, was very unacceptable.

If I may suggest the followings:
  1. Have a smoking section. As a smoker myself, i understand the urge to release myself from the temporarily insanity and by having a portion of the restaurant section to be a smoking section then I guess it won't be an issue in the first place.
  2. If there's no way of having a smoking zone, then with all due respect, kindly have the staffs/ management staffs to stop patrons from smoking at the entrance foyer of the restaurant, just by the side, at the emergency exit. What happened yesterday, no one bothered to even calm the other patrons of the restaurants who thought there was a fire going on in the building when the smoke detector triggered. Mind you it can cause chaos and as what I saw yesterday, when the smoke detector triggered, none of your staffs even bothered to calm some of the worried patrons. Kindly have your staffs to work on this. They should be ready to calm patrons of the restaurant in case things like this happen again
I hope my letter will serve as a way to improve the standards of the restaurant which has become my favorite restaurant in the city; and thus I hope that things like this shall never happen again in the near future.


There's this one part, one para of the letter yang mek tak tulis/ print; setelah dinasihati oleh penasihat² mek yang arif... hiks!
  • Volksie: Para tu tak perlu lah. You already have sarcasm somewhere in the letter already...
  • Fiebs: Nyah! Itu terlalu sarcasm dan menunjuk sngat yang ko terlalu mencaruts!
Hiks! Apakah paragraph itiew? NAH... (kalau ikutkan Goddess Ginger *YES Isis, move aside, step away, coz there's a new Goddess in the house and its Ginger! TUDIAH! Hiks* - Anyways, kalau ikutkan Goddess Ginger, harus dia marah sebab tak  includekan paragraph iniey... hiks!)

I have nothing against people who smokes as I am a smoker to. But rules are NOT MEANT to be broken, yes? It was clearly stated, and noted for the fact that the restaurant followed the policy of "NO SMOKING" whilst inside the restaurant and what happened/ what I experienced yesterday, I suppose the restaurant should opt for a new policy – "SMOKE IF LAH YOU WANT; LIKE WE (The Management) CARE SANGATS PUN!!!"

Kan??? Hiks! Guess mana mek blajaq sarcasm cam nih? Capt., eh, silap, DOCTOR Capt. HooKeD, u wanna guess? Hiks! GODDESS HANG LAH, si Ginger Miss LaZer itiew! Hiks!

U ols, bende cam nih leh dikatakan kecik, tapi, haa mula la mek ade niat nak caruts nih (setelah dalam letter tu mek dinch boleh caruts, kan... hiks!). WTF! Ko suruh guests ko JGN SMOKING, tapi kau? Siap smoking sebelah guests? And waktu fire alarm berbunyik sangat kuats itiew kan u ols, guests ade belambak lagi. Siap ade dua tiga mak cik ala ala tersedak selepas menghirup Serawa Pisang yer; YES! Bende cam nih, jgn dibuat main. Issuenye skarang, pasal SMOKING. 1stly ko cakap JGN SMOKE dalam restoran. HABIS yang staff sendiri pi smoke dalam restoran, tak pe pulak? And 2nd issue, dah ko cakap jgn smoking dalam restoran, ko BIARKAN pulak guests pi smoke kat tangga emergency. APA KES!? KO tu sapa? KO tu the restoran and its managing staffs and all ler! ISH! Serious u ols. Mek SANGAT hangin bab tu, even as we speak now sebab bila mek pikir balik, hish, sunggoh kurang ajaq dan unethical lew...

We'll see if I get any respond dari pihak restoran itiew; or busuk² like what Fiebs cakap dlm YM tadi...

LKY: Memula, bukan stakat hantar comment kat webpage diaorang, and e-mail the complaint letter (as well as mail original copy + FAX yer!), asalnya mek cadang nak hantaq complaint comment nih terus ke HARIAN METRO dan THE STAR ok! Rasain! Tapi memandangkan mek teringat big boss restoran itiew berkata, waktu my visit with csi_X and BS last week itiew...

"You semua ni macam celebrity la I tgk. Especially you (pointing at me), macam anak Chef Wan, yang pompuan tu, apa nama, Serina? - Gaya you all semua memang macam celebrity. Thanks for coming tonight..."

Terus yer mek tak jadik nak memediakan hal ini. Mek takkan even forwardkan kepada Datuk Bandar Bandaraya Alor Star supaya actions can be taken. Hiks! TAPI, mek buat blog nih, SERUPA JUGAK LA KAN macam hantar this issue ke newspapers, kan!? HAHAHAHAHAHA! Sial la mek, kan!? Mek ala ala celebrity, KAU ADO!? Ko ngaku famoust (note the spelling) tapi skadar famoust sebagai pelach lankeuge (lanky + league lah!) bernicknamekan keldai, buat apo? OPS! (Mati la mek - lari semunyik belakang Doctor Captain HooKeD... hiks!)

eh, mek org pertama ke yg mengomen entry u ols nih?? anyway, surat tiew bagus, u managed 2 get ur point across tp kannnn.. nampak sgt seorg DQ yg tulis!! hahaha!! beremosi sgt!! mek sker!! & ada la a few grammatical mistakes, so klu nk anto kt media cetak & elektronik, kasi mek edit duliew ya :)

This is one of the best positive complains I've ever read and ever been written by a patron (Aiyoo as if mak is the owner of the restaurant kan?)If it was me, I would have terminated all my staffs (I did terminate all my staffs when I was the kitchen manager at Fish & Co. T2 Changi Airport). Mak tak tengok pun any DQ in the letter. What LKY wrote is true, she has the right to have her privacy and comfort the moment she put her feet in the restaurant. For Allah's sake how can you smoke at the Emergency Staircase until the fire alarm got triggered!!! If that happened in S'pore dah lamala restoran tuh kena saman!!! Choila!!! Did you leave your phone number tak LKY? They should contact you and let you dine in for free next time, and make sure they give you the best service, only fit for a QUEEN!!!! (But Ginger De La LoCa tetap Goddess mak)

complaint letter tak blh sarcastic and emosi uols, it's supposed to be factual and straight to the point. *matila mak feeling lecturer!

but i like the closing. mak bg kau grade C- ok? *matila kene carot lps ni!!!
