A taste of FIRST CLASS on Emirates - PART 1
Thought of sharing something I put up kat MalaysianWings Forum kat my blogdrive also (nampak sangat malas - kes kes copy paste sajork! LOL!). Katanya hari tu ingat nak buat dah kat sinik, tapi memandangkan travel log mek ke Middle East ada masalah technical sedikits, so mrasalah terkandas katanya kan. Hiks! So nih mek just nak share my experience traveling 1st Class on EMIRATES... :)

DXB-SIN on EK432, A Taste Of Flying In First Class - Part 1
Mar 5 2007, 11:29 PM I would have to say, once upon a time, somewhere last year, I did an entry in my BLOG which featured the meal services onboard EK (Emirates)'s 1st class and truly, never would I ever dreamed of flying on first class Emirates. Well well, 26th February 2007, it seems that my wish came true when my dad said "Why don't you pamper yourself and travel back to KL via Sin on EK432 1st class - after all, you've been working so hard on this trip/ group. It's time you relax and enjoy the trip...". I was like - FOR REAL!? Hahahah... upgraded my Economy class seat for that 1st class seat - and what did I get in return? Not just 1st class seat with 1st class meal service on EK... but there's more to it...
Hotel pick-up: - Was picked up from Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel 12 hours before flight because I decided to hang around at the airport and also explore the 1st Class Lounge. Was picked up with Emirates' Volvo don't know what series! LOL! But sure it was comfy. Treated like a real VIP. Me loiiiikkeee (like!) Chauffeured driven of course - a friendly Pakistani guy. Sweet fella.

My misery! LOL!

My e-ticket, passport, and stuff - all intact!

A wagon Volvo? Hehehe

Tried to take the driver's pic but something went wrong somewhere I suppose! LOL!
Arrived at Dubai International Airport - First Class and Business Class Departures only. Its amazing to see how Emirates sets up its own departure hall/ check-in area/ ticketing services and all, away from their Economy Class passengers. Its like you're in another world, all on your own - surrounded by 1st class and business class passengers only. The Emirates personnel greeted me at the car as the chauffeur opened up my door. And as the chauffeur took out my luggage out of the trunk, the porter came by and assisted me also. And so that's 3 people assisting 1 1st class passenger. What more can you ask!?

Noticed the ground staff for EK had another different color of uniform. I believe that applies for almost every other airline. That's how they differentiate air crew/ ground handling and ground staff?

As you enter a world on its own... am awed!

Checking in

Owh look! They have an express check-in all on your own kiosks!

Told ya - it's like a world on its own. But this was not during the peak hours - believe me when the peak hours arrives, it'll be as busy as the Economy Class zone checking-in area!
After checking in - me went through the immigration, again, on its own, not together with the Economy Class passengers. Then went through security screening checks and what not. NOTE: For 1st timers traveling into DXB and going out of DXB, be well prepared to take off every metal objects/ jeweleries and stuffs from your body. Even belt buckles, shoes, bracelets and all - they're very strict. And yes - EVEN for 1st class and business class passengers!
So after that - me straight away went to the Emirates 1st Class Lounge. Goodness, even in KLIA, for 1st class and business class passengers onboard MH flights - they all go into the same Golden Lounge, right? But not in DXB!

And yes - the entrance to the heavens of 1st class ON GROUND!

To be continued...
